About The Project

Here in Fleetwood at Willow Gardens we have developed a growing community garden, primarily for people with a disability and people with mental health needs.  We are a registered charity, who offers users the opportunity to benefit through healthy outdoor activities in gardening and horticulture including:

Growing your own fruit and vegetables

  • Enjoying and relaxing in the sensory garden
  • Taking part in creative workshops
  • Exploring the natural environment
  • Composting and recycling
  • Qualification opportunities in partnership with Mysercough College

Willow Garden Project Aims

  • Promotion of healthy eating
  • Encourage physical activity
  • Uniting the community together
  • Boosting confidence and self esteem
  • Help motivate the next steps to a healthy lifestyle
  • Working to engage, enthuse and support people take action on environmental sustainability

We currently have weekly sessions taking place on Tuesday and Thursdays with more days to be confirmed.  Morning and afternoon sessions.  For more information or if you would like to book a place at a session contact Pamela 07807 743 800.
