About The Project

Est. 2012, the Willow Garden Project (WGP) is growing a sustainable future

We are a registered charity in Fleetwood which aims to use gardening to improve physical and mental health. Gardening can help everyone, regardless of age and disabilities to make positive changes to their lives–feeling happier, healthier, and more confident.  Activities available for all, a safe place for people to meet, relax and enjoy the beautiful garden.

Gardening Activities

A range of practical activities in food growing, tailored to meet the needs of each individual.

Creative Activities

Encouraging creativity and imagination, such as to make a craft item using upcycled materials.

Social Activities

Spending time together, to relax and enjoy experiences from sight and hearing, smell and touch in our sensory garden created for all abilities.

Group Gardening Sessions

Regular weekly group gardening sessions take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. If you would like more information or are interested in booking a place on one of our sessions please call Pamela Laird on 07807 743 800.

The Willow Garden Project work in partnership with other charitable partners, support groups and organisations in engaging the local community, primarily those with learning disabilities and mental health needs, so that they can benefit through healthy outdoor activities in gardening and horticulture.
