The ‘In Bloom’ cycle of events and our entry in the ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ category is an important part of our community gardening activities. In supporting Fleetwood’s theme “Fish and Flowers” we created a display in our pond area with upcycled fish ornaments made from plastic bottles,  lighthouses from old plant pots and planted a boat with succulents grown onsite, along with a beach theme. Also on display was multi-coloured flowers in the hanging baskets we had planted.

The Willow Garden Project received the Community Champion Award at the Britain In Bloom Ceremony held in Southport on 31st October 2019. We also achieved Level 5 Outstanding for our efforts across all areas of horticulture including the environment and community.
