Royal Garden Party 2019

Pamela and Karen attend Buckingham Palace Garden Party 29th May 2019

In recognition of our charity work, we were truly honoured to be invited to The Queen’s Garden Party in the grounds of Buckingham Palace on Wednesday May 29th. On arriving in London on the day itself, it was easy to spot the many others who were heading the same way as us. The Royal garden party takes place in “the garden” of Buckingham Palace, which in fact is 40 acres of meticulously sculpted parkland. This was the third and last annual garden party of the season and Queen Elizabeth II was accompanied by several members of The Royal Family, including Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Before they met some of the 8,000 guests the national anthem was played with Her Majesty’s Yeomen Warders standing guard, popularly known as the Beefeaters.

We had an amazing day; the food was incredible and it was wonderful to be able to walk around the spectacular gardens. Luckily the rain took a break whilst the Royals greeted guests gathered on the lawn. It’s a true privilege and honour for Willow to be invited to such an event.
