Information, Advice & GuidanceDisability Powys provide information, advice and guidance to disabled individuals, their families and carers and to organisations and businesses in disability related issues. In addition to the services we provide we are able to signpost individuals to the appropriate and relevant agencies to deal with their needs. We currently receive in excess of 120 enquiries each quarter. Funding for this service is via a service level agreement with Powys County Council, Adult Services.
Following from the success of the Big Lottery funded Financial Solutions project Disability Powys has continued to provide welfare benefits advice, guidance and support. Advisors and volunteers assist individuals to identify and claim their rightful benefits. Support is given to complete claim forms and, if appropriate, to appeal decisions . Our Advisor and Advocates are able to supoort individuals at appeals and tribunals.
