Our Funders

Our funders are extremely important to us, whether we receive a small one-off donation; negotiate a 3 year service level agreement or are awarded a capital purchase or 5 year project grant, we value and appreciate all funds equally.

Like many independent charities we have benefited from funds via trusts and grants and are currently experiencing the effects of the current climate with the impact being less funding opportunities to apply for and possible local funding cuts.

Our current funders include

Powys County Council, Adult Services: We negotiated a 3 year service level agreement in 2011, the first 3 year contract agreed between an independent service provider and Powys County Council, Adult Services.  We are funded to provide advice and information to physically disabled adults and individuals with a sensory impairment who are living and working in the county of Powys.

Other small grants:
Small grants are periodically secured, such as:

Postcode Community Trust - £1328 grant to support Llandrindod's disabled bowling club and purchase adaptive equipment.

We gratefully receive donations; regardless of the amount of the contribution it is valuable to us, we are able to use donated funds to cover core costs, those that are often not funded by project funders and grant givers.  We receive donations via cheques to our Llandrindod Wells office; via BACS (bank details on request); via collection buckets at our offices and local events and via on-line sites.  We will soon be facilitating new on-line giving opportunities and the option to Gift Aid donations.
Disability Powys is registered with the on-line shopping site, Giving A Bit allows individuals to register in order to make a donation to their chosen charity when shopping on-line; there are many outlets registered with Giving A Bit and there are discounts available to members - the donation is made to the chosen charity at no extra cost to the shopper: if you are an on-line shopper please support Disability Powys in this way - thank you.
